IASIM-14, the fifth IASIM (International Association for Spectral Imaging) conference was held in Rome (Italy), December 3rd–5th 2014.
The objective of IASIM is to provide a unified open and interactive forum for the exchange of information and ideas within the general spectral imaging community, regardless of the image spectral range (ultraviolet, visible, near mid, or far infrared, or mass spectrometry) or spatial range (microscopic, macroscopic, remote sensing).
This IASIM meeting included three days of scientific sessions covering all aspects of spectral imaging. Oral and poster presentations covered many facets of spectral imaging research, including:
• Imaging instrumentation
• Spatial / Spectral analysis algorithms
• Feature identification or quantification
• Real-time image processing
• Data compression and transformation
• Reference standards, NIST or BCR
• Sampling and reference measurements for PLS
• Drone imaging
• Penetration depth / Sample handling
• Multispectral / Hyperspectral applications.
Technical sessions included presentations by invited speakers & opponents, short individual presentations, and panel discussions from members of the imaging community.
